Do solar panels require planning permission?

My roof is north-facing - Will solar panels still work for me?
The answer is YES! 100% efficiency is achieved by a roof pitch of approximately 40 degrees, facing due south and with no shading. However, a property with a large enough energy bill and a generous north-facing roof can still harness quality energy from the sun. North-facing panels for a usual 3kWp PV system will generate 1,145kWh per annum as opposed to 1,361kWh for south-facing. Our team will design a bespoke system for your needs.

Do I need to use energy from the grid at night?
Technology has progressed and continues to move forward. When solar arrays were first brought to the market, this would have been the case, but no more. Today, we can store the energy generated via battery which is becoming more price-friendly year on year. Batteries aren't cheap and they do require space within the home, however Tesla has created the Powerwall 2 battery which offers our customers a more affordable solution.
